Do not stand there and negotiate. Leave the scene immediately and move before the mind starts building a case.
1. Step Away
Close the screen. Stand up. Leave the room. You navigated here on purpose which means you can navigate away. You are not stuck in this moment unless you keep choosing it.
2. Re-state Your Identity
"I am not someone who does this anymore. This addiction is dead." If you are internally debating going back, you are already too close. Exit the debate.
3. In Crisis?
